The STA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work is designed for people appointed as the designated first aider in the workplace. The qualification will enable an individual to be able to act as an appointed person to take charge of the first aid arrangements, including looking after the equipment and facilities and calling the Emergency Medical Services when required. The course is ideal for companies with less than 25 employees and those that are required to hold a first aid qualification but don’t require the more comprehensive First Aid at Work qualification. It covers all the main workplace first aid situations you may need to deal with, including: managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, choking, shock, bleeding and wounds and other minor injuries. No previous experience is required, so you can begin your first aid training whenever you need to.
This qualification is valid for a period of 3 years* Learners must be at least 16 years of age and be capable of kneeling on the floor to deliver CPR
